NASHVILLE, TN (August 18, 2026) - Freedom Heart has released "Come In" to Christian radio. Written by Zelda Nera Hutzenbeler and Lin Yi L Chen and produced by Nate Yake, the song is a vulnerable prayer of surrender that invites God into places marked by hurt, rejection and isolation, trusting the Holy Spirit to bring healing and restoration.
"Come In" begins from the perspective of someone who has become trapped in pain and nearly lost the ability to pray. The opening verse describes being a "prisoner of a place of hurt" and finding herself in valleys where hope has died. Yet both the lyric and production continually move toward hope, with the arrangement growing alongside the prayer as vulnerability gives way to surrender.
That movement from isolation toward restoration continues as the song builds. The second verse finds the narrator ready "to be changed by love" and willing to invite God into a wounded heart. As the arrangement expands, the song moves from an intimate expression of pain into a fuller declaration of surrender, healing and belonging.
The themes behind "Come In" closely reflect the mission of Freedom Heart, the artist name of singer-songwriter Lynn Chen. Through her music, Chen focuses on truth and freedom, writing candidly for people wrestling with identity, emotional struggles and difficult circumstances. Her goal is to create songs that bring light into darkness and point listeners toward healing and freedom.
Freedom Heart has also built a growing audience for that message, including more than 400,000 YouTube views. Her single "Plans" debuted at No. 1 on the Christian Radio Chart in February 2025 and reached the chart's Top 10. Freedom Heart has also reached No. 1 on ReverbNation's Christian/Gospel chart in Los Angeles.
With "Come In," Freedom Heart offers listeners a prayer for the moments when pain has made it difficult to find the words. Moving musically and lyrically from woundedness toward worship, the song carries a message of invitation and hope: God can be welcomed into even the deepest places of the heart, where His presence can replace rejection with redemption, isolation with belonging and brokenness with healing.`
