Their new children's book, Shilo and the Not-So-Scary Girl Above His Bed, flips a familiar childhood fear on its head: What if the monster under the bed is actually afraid of you?

Inspired by a real moment with their son, the story introduces readers to Shilo, a young monster who is convinced there is something frightening above his bed -- a little girl. As Shilo wrestles with his fear, he learns to pause, pray, remember what is true, and find the courage to take a brave step forward. At its heart, Shilo and the Not-So-Scary Girl Above His Bed gives children an age-appropriate way to understand an important lesson: courage isn't the absence of fear. When discussing the inspiration behind the book, Kristin Jordan says, "Shilo began with a very real moment in our own family. When our son was little, he was afraid there was a monster under his bed, and one night I asked him, 'What if the monster is actually afraid of you?' That simple question changed the way he saw his fear. Years later, it became the heart of Shilo.
