NASHVILLE, TN (September 15, 2026) - Christian singer-songwriter David Coate has released "Inside Out (Psalm 139)" to Christian radio. Written and produced by Coate, the Inspirational and Christian Soft AC song draws from Psalm 139 to affirm the biblical truth that every person is intentionally created by God, fully known by Him, and made with purpose.

At the heart of "Inside Out (Psalm 139)" is one of Scripture's most personal descriptions of God's intimate knowledge of His creation. Coate builds the song around the Psalmist's recognition that God knows each person completely and remains present wherever they go.

For Coate, Psalm 139 speaks directly to fundamental questions about human worth, identity, purpose and uniqueness. The song reflects the Christian worldview that creation is purposeful and that every individual bears a significance rooted not in achievement or circumstance, but in being intentionally created by God. The song's connection to Psalm 139 extends beyond the music. Its cover art was created years before the song was written by Coate's daughter, artist Allison Coate. The image comes from a four-foot-by-four-foot tapestry titled "Psalm 139," originally created as part of a Psalms-themed collection commissioned by a university in Ohio. Every strand of yarn in the piece was hand knitted, giving the artwork a tangible connection to the Psalm's description of God knitting each person together in the womb.

"Inside Out (Psalm 139)" continues a ministry in music that has spanned decades for Coate. Based in the Boston area, he has toured nationally with the David Coate Group, performing at churches, colleges, prisons, outreach events and Christian music festivals including Creation Festival and SoulFest. He also served for 19 years as Worship Pastor at North River Church in Pembroke, Massachusetts, where he continues to serve as a volunteer.

An accomplished producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist, Coate owns and operates Turning Point Recording Studio and has produced and arranged music for numerous artists and projects. His music has received national radio airplay throughout his career, with his song "A Million Ways" debuting at #1 on Christian Radio Chart's weekly chart for the week of June 15, 2026.
