KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Christian pop/rock artist and songwriter Josh Grove releases "I'm Done Running," a bright, forward-moving single that reframes slowing down as an act of faith. Available now through Syntax Creative, the song meets the pressure of an always-moving world with a simple response: step away from the noise, return to prayer and make room for God's presence.

The idea grew out of a season Grove knew firsthand. Balancing school, work and other responsibilities, he found himself needing the same reminder the song now gives listeners: pace can become distraction, and busyness can quietly crowd out time with God. Rooted in Psalm 46:10 and Matthew 11:28-30, "I'm Done Running" moves from restless momentum toward surrender, trust and the peace found in Jesus.

"This project came to me during a really busy time in my life. Between school, work, and other activities, it can be easy to get caught up in everything going on and forget to slow down. Especially with school starting back up, life can feel almost nonstop sometimes. This song came from a reminder I needed for myself: to make time each day to slow down, step away from the busyness, and spend time with God," Grove said.

Produced by Eric Haley and written by Grove, the track pairs an upbeat Christian pop setting with lyrics about breaking old patterns, rejecting fear and returning to a posture of surrender. The recurring line "I'm so done running" becomes less a statement of exhaustion than a decision to stop striving on his own and place everything back in God's hands.

"I'm Done Running" continues a year of stylistic range for Grove. His February collaboration "Rain or Shine (feat. KJ-52)" reached No. 1 on the Christian Music Weekly CHH/Rhythmic chart, while subsequent 2026 releases "New Life," "Hope" and "Trust (Psalm 13)" moved through rock, Christian pop and worship territory. His earlier songs have also earned recognition from songwriting competitions and national Christian radio programming.

The new single also arrives as Grove continues to grow as a worship leader and songwriter. Away from the studio, he serves in worship and children's ministry at his local church, keeping the ministry behind the music central to his development as an artist.
