NASHVILLE, TN (September 22, 2026) - Christian singer-songwriter Linda Boles has released "A Child of God" to Christian radio. Written by Boles and produced by John Johnson of Tune Designer, the Inspirational and Christian Soft AC song celebrates the transformation that comes through salvation and the believer's identity as part of the family of God.

"I wrote 'A Child of God' as a reflection of a joyful welcome home, captured in those moments when someone takes that step of faith and finds their true identity in the Lord," Boles shares. "The song reflects the pure celebration happening both in heaven, where the angels rejoice over every saved soul, and right here on earth within our faith community. It's a reminder that no one has to walk this road alone; we are bound together as family, stepping into grace side by side."

That celebration is reflected throughout the song as it moves from redemption to belonging. The recurring declaration, "A child of God," becomes both an affirmation of identity and a welcome to those who have placed their faith in Christ. The song also echoes the biblical picture of heaven rejoicing over a person who turns to God, while reminding listeners that salvation brings them into a community of believers who can walk alongside them.

For Boles, music and faith have been intertwined throughout her life. Born into a family with deep bluegrass traditions, she developed a musical foundation shaped by melodies, hymns and influences ranging from bluegrass and folk to rock. Personal loss later deepened the spiritual purpose behind her songwriting. Following the sudden death of her first husband, Boles found herself increasingly drawn to songs centered on God's faithfulness, comfort and hope.

Boles was recently honored with the Bronze Songwriter of the Year Award in the USA Female category at the 2026 International Singer Songwriter Association (ISSA) Awards. The awards ceremony was held August 22 at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center near Atlanta, Georgia. Boles, a recording artist from Smithfield, Virginia, also performed at the official afterparty following the ceremony.

With more than four decades devoted to music and ministry, Boles continues to measure the purpose of her music by its ability to encourage others. "A Child of God" carries that mission forward with a message rooted in redemption, community and the joy of knowing that through faith, believers have been welcomed into the family of God.
