ATLANTA, GA -- October 30, 2026 -- Twenty years after helping redefine the sound and energy of contemporary Gospel music, two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning artist, songwriter, producer, and visionary Tye Tribbett is returning to one of the most defining moments of his career, this time with an entirely new generation alongside him. Tribbett announces the November 13th release of V20: First Semester, a powerful reimagining of his groundbreaking 2006 album Victory, celebrating two decades of musical innovation, cultural impact, and transformative worship. V20: First Semester is available for pre-order now.
More than an anniversary album, V20: First Semester represents a full-circle moment for one of Gospel music's most electrifying and influential voices. The project revisits the spirit of Victory through fresh arrangements, explosive live instrumentation, and a renewed creative vision that honors the original while pushing its legacy into the future. The release marks the first installment of a two-part celebration, with the second chapter expected in 2027.
Tribbett shares, "Twenty years later, the sound has grown, the testimony has deepened, and the victory still belongs to God! With V20 First Semester, we're celebrating everything Victory Live has meant to people while bringing that same faith and fire to a new generation. To everyone who's been singing these songs since day one, and everyone discovering them now, this celebration belongs to all of us!"
At the center of the project is the explosive lead single "I Want It All Back," released October 9, featuring the dynamic contemporary Gospel youth movement ABLAZE. Originally introduced as the opening declaration on Victory, the anthem returns with renewed urgency, commanding vocals, and Tribbett's unmistakable live-performance intensity. The collaboration serves as both a celebration of his musical roots and a symbolic passing of the torch, connecting the generation that grew up on Victory with younger listeners discovering its message for the first time.
For Tribbett, revisiting Victory is not simply an exercise in nostalgia. It is an opportunity to demonstrate how timeless music can evolve, expand its reach, and speak with fresh urgency to a changing world. Throughout his career, Tribbett has consistently stood at the intersection of Gospel tradition and contemporary culture, blending the intensity of church-rooted praise with influences ranging from R&B and hip-hop to rock, soul, and African rhythms. His genre-defying approach has helped broaden the possibilities of Gospel music while inspiring a new wave of artists and worship leaders who continue to build upon his musical foundation.
With two GRAMMY Awards, five No. 1 albums, four No. 1 Gospel radio singles, and ten Billboard Top 10 songs to his credit, Tribbett's influence extends well beyond chart achievements. His reputation as a boundary-pushing performer, innovative creative force, and passionate communicator has made him one of the most recognizable voices in contemporary faith-based music.
V20: First Semester arrives November 13, 2026. The lead single, "I Want It All Back" featuring ABLAZE, is available now on all major digital streaming platforms.
