Bloodgood and Tourniquet, two of the most influential bands of Christian heavy music, are to co-headline the third “Legends of Rock” festival to take place on April 4, 2009 in Ennepetal, Germany. Coincidentally, each band has been joined by a (former) Stryper member in their current line-up: Oz Fox plays guitar in Bloodgood, bass player Tim Gaines comes along with Tourniquet. In total, 13 artists will perform at the event which focuses on hand-made music and classic rock styles. The line-up includes a reunion show of post-grunge rockers Grammatrain after their 10-year-hiatus and the first-ever performance of Chistian Liljegren’s new band Audiovision. The well-known Swedish singer (formerly of Narnia and Divine Fire) will perform some of his best known songs covering all bands he has ever been involved with. The Now and Then coverage of Christian music includes the gothic rock and symphonic metal band HB from Finland, Verra Cruz from England and modern worship group Bluetree from Scottish. All artists performing are known to the German audience by from their sets at the promoter’s main festival Christmas Rock Night.
