This song was written by Leeland Mooring, of the band Leeland, and Leslie Jordan and David Leonard, of All Sons & Daughters. The first time I heard Leeland play this song, I was so moved. I asked if they would consider letting me record this song, that I didn’t have any expectations and understood if the answer was “no.” They all encouraged me to do so.
