#9. Fireflight
Innova

Release Date: October 2014
Another band to part ways with their home label due for creative freedom in the underground, Fireflight is readying their first independent album in 10 years with Innova. The early demoes sound like a different (more electronic) direction for the band, and I'm excited what's next for this Florida-based rock band.
        - John DiBiase

Fireflight has continued to pump out quality music well over the last decade, establishing themselves as one of the key groups responsible for the development of female-fronted Christian rock. In addition to their signature style, they've utilized experimentation to refrain from becoming stale, and now that they've gone indie, they'll have a chance to show their purest colors. When all is said and done, Innova looks to be yet another spectacular project.
        - David Craft

After starting with a bang, Fireflight has found themselves releasing a couple of otherwise-solid albums that, other than few individual songs, simply lack the replayablitity factor of The Healing of Harms or Unbreakable. But again and again, bands that have been stuck in this rut have gone independent to recapture that lightning they had earlier in their career. Firelight is the next band that is perfectly poised to do so.
        - Mark Rice

Crowdsourcing campaigns have a way of keeping talented artists in the field, and Fireflight is a deserving band. The fans have spoken: a new Fireflight record is in demand, and this time it's independent. If Innova is anything like the band's previous discography, it should be an accomplished album from a seasoned band.
        - Roger Gelwicks
