#12. The Classic Crime
What Was Done, Vol. 1

Release Date: May 2014
When I first saw the title, I wrongly assumed it was a boilerplate best-of compilation I could easily forgo. But 1,435 Kickstarter contributions later, I feel a bit sheepish that I didn't get on the ball sooner. The Classic Crime has a legacy of memorable acoustic renditions of their songs, so I have high hopes for What Was Done's first volume.
        - Roger Gelwicks

The Classic Crime have yet to disappoint me with an album. Some have been better than others, but there's no doubting what they bring to the table. I can't wait to hear what they have in store this time.
        - Michael Weaver

Since leaving Tooth and Nail Records in 2011, The Classic Crime has gone on to be one of the biggest success stories of the Kickstarter era. Their latest project, What Was Done, Vol. 1, is a celebration of that as the band seeks to recreate 10 songs from their first decade using only acoustic arrangements. Based on their track record, and the album's quick funding, I can imagine that fans will be more than impressed with this release.
        - John "Flip" Choquette

The Classic Crime has never failed to deliver a memorable album, and What Was Done, Vol. 1 has built up enough hype to be one of their most impactful offerings yet. Ever a force to be reckoned with, TCC has quite the opportunity to deliver an unforgettable project.
        - David Craft
