The central message here, however, isn't inspiration leading to worship; it's a longing for renewal. "It's been a long time since Eden/And dust kicks up in a desertland," the track begins, setting the tone for the rest of the song. As Fonseca continues, he pushes home the feeling of restoration and completion, knowing it will happen one day. The chorus sees some of that fulfillment already present in our time: "Your glory rushes over/The rocks of Arizona." All of these elements may make "ARIZONA" feel like a niche track, but it really shows the strength of Mark Fonseca's writing. He takes eschatology and wraps it in the Arizona landscape. As the listener, you can almost picture yourself there, experiencing the same feelings. Overall, "ARIZONA" is a track worthy of a few listens and will likely express the way a lot of people are feeling this year.
