For those hip hop heads who are unfamiliar with the Miami born and raised rapper Lawren, you have been missing out for the past few years. Tracks like "Craxyr," "One Day," and "HVNTS" have been on my playlists in recently, and As You Pass, Go is his newest release. The purpose of the album speaks to Christians being sanctified as we live our lives and committing ourselves to "Go" as the great commission directs. The short, five-track sampling has solid beats, a handful of features, and rap tunes that hip hop fans will definitely enjoy.

"Railroads" begins the EP with an amazing track where Lawren spits hard while pouring out emotionally and rhyming: "This is what grace do / Makes you forgive all the people that hate you / Makes you love all the people who ain't you / This is what grace do." The next song, "Slums," carries hot production and features Ty Brasel and WHATUPRG with the former dropping lines like "heard 'em say nothing good comes from the slums, but Jesus came from Nazareth" in a song that speaks of overcoming regardless of our circumstances. The rest of As You Pass, Go stays on-point lyrically with a strong message to represent Christ as we live each day. Fans of hip hop and Lawren's previous material will thoroughly enjoy this release.
