Brother, oh brother
You have learned to crawl
And I will be your keeper
I’ll go before, break down each wall
You’re not meant to stay on your hands and knees
A new life is in front of you
I know the One who never leaves

Brother, oh brother
I have watched you walk
And I will be your keeper
A stepping stone onto the Rock
You were made to stand on your own two feet
And we will walk through fire
Cause we are tempered by the heat

When my Father comes and asks me
‘Where is your brother now?’
I will say, ‘I kept him. I fulfilled my vow.’

Brother, oh brother
He will see you run
And you will be his keeper
And you will lead him while he’s young
I’ll always be your brother
Whether flesh or blood
We have been united
As the sons of God

Brother, oh brother
The ways that we have grown
Christ will be our keeper
When heaven calls us home
