I was told my eyes,
Would be opened at the sight,
Of a nation that is bound to this disease.
I'd seen their faces on my screen,
And said I'm grateful that's not me,
And turned off my TV.

Look at all the people now, so different but the same.

Now a hush falls over the crowd,
Not a sound comes out of the mouth,
Of a people gathered around to hear good news.
Now they spill out into the town,
Once hopelessly lost, now finally found,
Clinging to a new hope found only in You.
They won't be silent, they won't be silent.

The difference in this place,
Is persecution they will face,
Their children's lives at stake where worship is a crime.
But I know that they will fight,
I saw the fire in their eyes,
When they came to hear Your name for the first time.

Look at all the people now, so different but the same.

Now a hush falls over the crowd,
Not a sound comes out of the mouth,
Of a people gathered around to hear good news.
Now they spill out into the town,
Once hopelessly lost, now finally found,
Clinging to a new hope found only in You.
They won't be silent.

Their fervor tugs at my soul,
For so long I've held to the world,
And these fantasies I've long since tired of.
Lord, shower me with Your grace,
Give me strength as I try to change,
Rediscover You, my first love, yeah.

Now a hush falls over the crowd,
Not a sound comes out of the mouth,
Of a people gathered around to hear good news.
Now they spill out into the town,
Once hopelessly lost, now finally found,
Clinging to a new hope found only in You.
I won't be silent.
