BEHIND THE SONG: As a church family at HopeUC, we have sat in this teaching from The Lord’s Prayer all year: ‘Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven’. In Hebrews 12 from The Message translation, it says in verses 28-29; “Do you see what we’ve got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. He’s actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won’t quit until it’s all cleansed. God himself is Fire!’ And so, deeply reverent, and completely thankful for all that God has done for us, we declare HIS KINGDOM COME—Who was, and is, and is to come…
