Behind the Song:
'Again is a bit of a deceiving song. On the first listen, it may sound like an average love song, but it’s actually about trying to end a relationship that you know isn’t going to work. All of us have either been in or known someone who has been in a relationship for way too long, but can’t seem to break from it. Most of the time we talk ourselves into staying in the situation because of familiarity or possibly the fear of having to start over. We wanted to have the song represent not only the moment when you’ve decided to move on, but also the struggle to get there. We wrote a lot of the songs in preparation for going into the studio, but this was one that we wrote while we were in the recording process. That helps to keep songs close to their most organic form because we don’t have the time to over-think things.' - Needtobreathe
