Nashville, TN - 8 March 2011 - Last year was quite a year for Dave Barnes, and 2011 is well on its way to being even better. He's already off to a great start as he kicked off this past weekend joining Brandon Heath's Leaving Eden Tour, which is hitting a dozen markets across the southern U.S. into early April. Tour dates are listed below. Additionally, Barnes' single "God Gave Me You" was not only a hit on CHR and AC radio but has crossed over to Mainstream AC. Officially impacting radio yesterday, the single had already obtained early adds with four stations.

"God Gave Me You" was one of the most played CHR and AC songs in 2010 and continues to be heard on radio stations across the nation. According to Billboard's year-end charts, it hit top 3 and was the 15th most played song of the year at CHR.

Barnes' vocal talents and songwriting abilities are also being shared by other popular artists. "Until You," one of his first singles from his CD Brother, Bring The Sun, was recently cut by country artist Billy Currington, and Barnes also joined Francesa Battistelli to co-write and share vocals on "Emily (It's Love)," which appears on her brand new release, Hundred More Years.

MORE ABOUT DAVE BARNES
Since he began his musical career, Dave Barnes has continuously showcased his quintessential style of class and timeless music tied with a solid dose of his traditional southern upbringing and humorous charm. November 9th brought the release of his first-ever and highly acclaimed Christmas project, Very Merry Christmas, which followed last April's popular What We Want, What We Get, both courtesy of Razor & Tie.

He has previously toured with notable acts including John Mayer, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Bonnie Raitt, and One Republic. Barnes also joined the world of soap operas last June, playing himself in a special two-episode story arc on ABC’s hit "All My Children."

The infectious hit single "God Gave Me You," from What We Want, What We Get, hit #3 CHR and #9 on AC radio, while his Christmas singles made a huge mark at radio as well. "Christmas Tonight," his duet with Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott, was the season's 5th most played Christmas song, sharing the charts with such artists as Mariah Carey and the cast of Glee. The music video for "Christmas Tonight," featuring Barnes alongside actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, was directed by and also featured Alex Beh. The video debuted on Perez Hilton and was featured on US Magazine's site, Huffington Post's entertainment front page and OK! Magazine's website.

Dave Barnes is also a long-time supporter of the Mocha Club, a generation of activists giving up the cost of two mochas, or $7 a month, to fund relief and development projects in Africa. To find out more, or to join Dave's Clean Water project, click here.
