Falling Up, who have been quite busy making a lot of new music since reuniting as an independent band a few years ago, is back at it with a Kickstarter campaign for a new studio album. "Yup. It's happening. We are writing a brand new, full length album," says the band on their Kickstarter page. "We are confident to tell you that the songs we have so far, and the direction we are taking this new concept, is our bravest effort yet. We feel it is time to make an album that will truly define Falling Up."

For as exhilarating and original as The Machine De Ella Project was, we are very excited to get back to hashing out a brand new album the good old fashioned way. We will be refining and perfecting the writing, ebbing down the list, hitting the studio, and spending a nice, comfortable amount of time to get everything we want out of this new album. We are being so meticulous about details that the album title has yet to be considered; we won't settle for anything less than perfection!

Oh and by the way, there will be a brand new story/concept that will coincide. And friends, let us tell you, this new story is a trip!

This is a campaign that is founded on the idea of Falling Up remaining an independent band. Let's keep the creativity flowing and the privilege to make albums on our own creative terms.

We are very excited to be able to use some of the money for something we didn't really consider with our previous albums: marketing! It will shine light onto the real story behind Fangs! The story of that album is our own mythology based on our struggle in the world of record labels and the professional music industry. $100,000 Crashings And Dawn Escapes Reimagined Album
It’s been nearly ten years since the releases of our first two albums, Crashings and Dawn Escapes. To celebrate we would like to record a reimagining of songs from those two albums. All new drums, vocals, guitars, keys, synths, i.e. EVERYTHING, would be reimagined and rerecorded. It will be like we are covering our own songs and rerecording them. Some of the songs might change drastically, while others might stay true to their origins with just updated tones and minor additions. We believe it would be a fascinating approach to reliving our roots and discovering the magic of old times. Here’s our preliminary track listing in no particular order:
