The annual award ceremony aired on Sunday, Oct. 12 on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).

KB "100" was named "Rap/Hip Hop Song of the Year." The song with Mineo, was featured on the album of the same name and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Christian Album's Chart and No. 4 on Billboard's Rap Chart and No. 22 on the overall Top 200 Albums Chart. The song was written by Kevin Burgess (KB), Andy Mineo, Lasanna Ace Harris, and Joseph Prielozny and produced by Lasanna Ace Harris with additional production from Joseph Prielozny. The song expresses KB's thoughts on what you do being not nearly as important as who you do it for.

Andy Mineo who was also nominated for "New Artist of the Year," and had two nods for "Rap/Hip Hop Song of the Year," nabbed the Dove Award for "Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year" with his EP, Never Land. Never Land was #1 on the Hip-hop charts on iTunes moved over 25,900 units in the first week . It was number two on the Rap charts, number six on the Digital charts, number two on the Christian charts, and number 13 on the Top 200.

Shortly after Mineo accepted the honor, he took the stage twice throughout the evening: with his labelmates Tedashii, KB and Trip Lee and solo, delivering a dynamic performance of "You Can't Stop Me" with special guest Brian "Head" Welch.
