2 May 2016 - Nashville, Tenn - Just in time for Mother's Day, one of the industry's best storytellers and a mother herself - Nichole Nordeman - has released the music video for "Slow Down." The song is from her latest EP, The Unmaking, which released in August with Capitol CMG.
"I don't know of a more uttered or whispered phrase from a mother of any age, about her child of any age, than 'It's going by too fast,'" Nordeman shares about why she penned this song. "I feel like I spend my life trying to slow time. Trying to celebrate the growth and milestones of my children, and then secretly day dreaming about building a time machine in my garage, so I can return to rocking my babies at midnight. If you've ever looked at your child running across a field, or striding across a graduation stage, or walking down the middle aisle of a church clutching a bouquet, you'll know why this song is special to me.”
Thousands of viewers on Facebook have also shared their comments. Here's just a few highlights:
"I sat crying big blobby tears to this and then shared it on my business page (I run music/multi sensory classes for babies and toddlers). The shares, likes and reach has been huge....Thank you for giving us something to share that truly touches hearts." - Janette from England
"My kids are both grown now, but this made me remember all those sweet moments with them when they were little. Thank you for this beautiful song!" - Laura in Kansas
"To those of us who have grown children, this is a precious reminder. To those of us with grandchildren and great or great, great, memories come in like warm blankets to cuddle in the night. Those with babes in arm, make your own memories to last. Like a tapestry, it grows in your heart." - Michelle from Oklahoma
