Announced via social media and a letter to fans, NEEDTOBREATHE has begun teasing their next release - a full-length live acoustic album, set to debut November 16th. Titled Acoustic Live Vol. 1, preorders have already begun.
The band wrote:
Friends, Last fall, we got to do something we've never done before... a fully acoustic tour. It was something we had wanted to do for a while, and was one of the most consistent requests we got from fans over the years.
If it sounds like it would be more simple than usual...it was not. We've put out nearly 100 songs since the beginning, and the first thing we had to do was figure out what songs were no brainers for this tour, and what songs we could we re-imagine. After that, we had to figure out how to strip out the production, slim down the lights, and pick where we wanted to play.
It was one of the most fun tours we've ever done. As some of the Day 1 fans might know, we record every show that we play. We went through the archives from those shows and have been working on a project that we've very excited to announce today...1. LET'S STAY HOME TONIGHT (Acoustic Live)
2. Drive All Night (Acoustic Live)
3. NO EXCUSES (Acoustic Live)
4. State I’m In (Acoustic Live)
5. Washed By The Water (Acoustic Live)
6. TESTIFY (Acoustic Live)
7. Oh, Carolina (Acoustic Live)
8. Stand By Me (Acoustic Live)
9. Stones Under Rushing Water (feat. Drew & Ellie Holcomb) (Acoustic Live)
10. White Fences (Acoustic Live)
11. CAGES (Acoustic Live)
12. Brother (Acoustic Live)We couldn't be more excited to announce Acoustic Live Vol. 1 to you today, our first ever fully acoustic record. We recorded this across 16 shows in 14 of our favorite theatres and concert halls in America...including Charleston Music Hall, Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C., Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville and Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
The album features songs from almost every era of our band, so there's a little something for everyone. We got to tell a lot of stories on this tour as well, and we left a few of them in there...like the one about how Bear and Bo used to share a waterbed when they were kids. Two tracks are available now - "Drive All Night (Acoustic Live)" from The Reckoning - as well as "NO EXCUSES (Acoustic Live)" from H A R D L O V E, which features one of our favorite covers as well, "House of the Rising Sun."
The full album will be out on November 16. You can pre-order the album at the links above or at our merch booth on the Forever On Your Side Tour and get a special merch item available nowhere else.
We have a ton of surprises left before this album comes out, so keep your eyes open! And see you in one week New Braunfels for the Forever On Your Side Tour!
Much love,
Bear, Bo, Seth and Josh
