June 23, 2019

(Nashville, TN)  – MARK209’s long anticipated new music video (“My Kind Of People”) will premiere July 6, 2019 on the television program, Gospel Music Today.

This will be the third music video release from MARK209, each directed by the Emmy Nominated filmmaker director, Joseph Spence.

This latest music video features their fan-favorite song “My Kind Of People” from their latest CD, “Thumbprint”.  “My Kind Of People” was co-written by Woody Wright, Joe Johnston, and Kim Patton Johnston.

Jym Howe states, “It’s been several years since our last music video and when recording this song for our new CD, Thumbprint, we knew it had to be used as the first video off the album.  People just love the song.  At each performance, we see the audience members trying to do the hand motions to “this is the church, this is the steeple, open the door and there’s all the people”.  It’s fun watching them trying to remember how to put their hands together to get the “people” in their “church” and many children have no idea what the adults are doing.  So we added a little spot in the video of a grandmother showing a young child how to do it.  As always, we wanted to have fun with this video and I’m certain people are going to have a good laugh when watching it.  That’s what we were going for … to help people smile.”

The single, “My Kind Of People”, will also release to radio the same week of the music video release.

You can see the premiere of MARK209’s new music video July 6, 2019 on Gospel Music Today on WATC TV57 in Atlanta and WBNA TV21 in Louisville and then various days during that week on nine other broadcast and cable outlets plus radio stations, ROKU, as well as the Gospel Music Today website (, with over-the-air broadcast reaching over 20 million households.  In addition, the video will be distributed to relevant music channels and websites.  The video will also be available to be seen on MARK209’s webpage (, as well as their official Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and other social video outlets.
