Today, Billboard No.1 worship group Maverick City Music and Grammy-nominated Elevation Worship drop their highly anticipated collaborative live album, Old Church Basement – now available on all streaming platforms. The album features standout singles “Jireh” (> 6.7M streams), “Talking To Jesus” (> 2.8M streams), and “Wait On You” – a great preview into a powerful collection of songs that aims to bring listeners back to a pure place of worship. Composed of 13-tracks, Old Church Basement features vocals from Chandler Moore, Brandon Lake, Naomi Raine, Chris Brown, Dante Bowe, Tiffany Hudson, Joe L Barnes, and Amanda Lindsey Cook.
 
 
Jonathan Jay, co-founder of Maverick City says, “I’m excited about the joining of family on this Old Church Basement project. It’s a celebration of this amazing collaboration but also a reminder of what is most important. I hope these songs touch hearts and minds like they’ve touched mine.”
 
“Before any lights and a stage, for a lot of us it was just a few chords on an acoustic guitar or piano in a youth room with a few of our friends. This collection of songs is so special to us as it’s reminiscent of when we first fell in love with worshipping God,” says Chris Brown from Elevation Worship.
 
Yesterday, Maverick City Music were nominated for three Billboard Music Awards: Top Gospel Artist and double-nods in the Top Gospel Album category for Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1 and Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 2. Founded in 2018 by Tony Brown and Jonathan Jay, Maverick City formed as a result of the founders hosting seventeen songwriting camps, which brought together over one hundred Christian artists and songwriters creating hundreds of songs. Since its inception, Maverick City has garnered GRAMMY® and DOVE Award nominations; multiple Billboard No.1 albums and singles, 250M+ streams, and over a million YouTube subscribers.
