NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE (June 13, 2023) – Fresh from 52 Records, legendary rapper KJ-52’s latest single, “Babylon Boom” (feat. Wingy Danejah & Alcott), is releasing to the Christian CHR and Christian Rhythmic radio outlets today. Written by Jonah Sorrentino, Samuel Alcott, and Derek Johnson, and produced by Derek Minor, the single showcases KJ-52’s deep lyrical prowess and rhythmic savvy.
“Babylon Boom” continues the narrative established in the “Still Standing” album, a collection of songs inspired by the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, the largest hurricane to ever hit the state of Florida. The single echoes the themes of resilience, faith, and resistance against destructive forces, both earthly and spiritual. The song paints an intense image of a battle against “Babylon,” metaphorically representing elements of chaos and conflict.
KJ-52, the Guinness world record holder in freestyling and a six-time Dove Award winner, based in Cape Coral, Florida, has been instrumental in his community’s recovery from the devastation caused by the hurricane. His music serves as an anthem for a community ‘still standing’ and for all those enduring and overcoming challenges in their lives.
“Babylon Boom” is more than a song; it’s a clarion call for resilience and faith in the face of adversity, seamlessly combining rap and Christian faith in a unique and empowering manner. Its raw energy and profound message are bound to resonate with listeners, encouraging them to stand strong in their faith, even when facing their own ‘Babylon.’
“Babylon Boom” is now available on all streaming outlets.
