Meridian, Mississippi (January 9, 2024)“The Blues Preacher,” Gypsy Carns has released his newest single, “Jesus Hallelujah” a new song to bring in the new year! This latest single by the popular preacher/musician and podcast host is a rock-influenced blues song combining the powerful words of Jesus Christ and a message for listeners to turn to the Lord. The song marks a significant time in the artist’s journey for creating contemporary worship music that everyone can relate to. “Jesus Hallelujah” took Carns 18 months to write the song and it took seven revisions before he and producer Brad Vosburg were convinced the lyrics presented a healing power ready to be absorbed by believers around the world. Carns combines Messianic and real-life lyrics in this powerful song for a blend of real Americana music synergized with healing prayer.

“Jesus Hallelujah” is full of Carns’ well-known and epic energy giving listeners a much greater soul-probing approach to the words he wishes to share. The larger-than-life vocals have already won critical reviews by some of the industry’s inner circle praising it as a powerful tool in getting Christian music into the mainstream lives of many.

With a 12-string bottleneck guitar, Gypsy Carns has spread the “Word” around the world through verse and his rough-hewn style of music combining the slide guitar, stomp-box, harmonica, tambourine and powerful lyrics.

Carns is also the recipient of the Christian Blues Artist of the Year and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards for a song co-written and recorded by Koko Taylor. He has delivered his music to thousands of fans in the United States, Japan, France, England, Germany, The Netherlands, Hawaii, China, Brazil and witnessed in the streets and bars of Shanghai, Amsterdam, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and on the Mount of Olives.

"Our crazy ole world is outta control, Better watch out for your soul!

Cause the devil’s coming after you, yeah that’s true

If you’re carrying a heavy load, lookin’ for that narrow road

Jesus Hallelujah

“There is a spiritual energy with this song like I’ve never heard before. I hope it gives many a sense of the healing power that comes along with believing. I’ve known people to raise their hands up to The Lord and give thanks after listening to the new single. It’s a blessed opportunity for me to share His Word. I say “Jesus Hallelujah!” – Gypsy Carns, The Blues Preacher

Carns’ spiritual solo career began in 1994 in coffee houses in California. He felt the Lord speaking to him at this time. After the Northridge earthquake of 1994, he left California, moved to Nashville, married his sweetheart Caroline (who brought him to the Lord) and began spreading the teachings of Christ through his music. Releases include “Beale Street Swing” and “Gospel Train Coming” both featured in Blues Revue Magazine; “The Watchman” inspired by his trip to Jerusalem; and “Elijah Returns” his most prophetic CD. His music has been featured on television networks including Netflix, PBS, Animal Planet, MTV2, CMT, and The Biography and Travel Channel in multiple countries.

The Blues Preacher can also be seen five days a week on THE WORD podcast. Gypsy shares a Scripture verse and a short interpretation of its meaning. He also shares advice on how we can all concentrate on the messages of the Bible in our own daily lives.

The podcast has become popular via several social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. You can join the podcast by following Carns at https://www.facebook.com/GypsyCarns or https://www.instagram.com/gypsycarns/channel/
