Bronx, NYC - “But even as Jesus said this, a crowd approached, led by Judas, one of the twelve disciples. Judas walked over to Jesus to greet him with a kiss. But Jesus said, ‘Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?’” [Luke 22:47-48]
When Christ looked across the table, as he shared his last supper with his disciples, his eyes rested upon Judas. In that moment, He knew the deception that would soon take place. Even so, He referred to his betrayer as “friend.” Christ told Judas to leave and do what he must do, just as He was also prepared to play his role in the salvation of mankind.
“Jesus had Judas and Tyson had Don King. There’s always a villain in the story preying on your downfall, this is more like an open rebuke. If the shoe fits…wear it.” - Ayo Shamir
Following the release of the critically acclaimed album ‘Ninety Nine,’ Ayo Shamir assembles members of the 99 crew for his first single drop of 2024. The gritty boom bap production that is Shamir’s calling card remains prominent as Ten Cuidado (Be Careful) Pt. 1 continues to move the producer forward in both the Christian rap and underground hip hop spaces.
Featuring CHH heavyweights Selah the Corner, Da Commissioner, and Prodi Da Prodigal, Shamir displays his talent of curating the perfect artists to bring his tracks to life. The song’s theme focuses on exposing individuals who look to bring destruction and chaos into your life. What is done in the darkness is certain to be uncovered by the Light, so be careful!
Ten Cuidado (Be Careful) Pt. 1 releases to digital streaming platforms on February 23, 2024.
