Illustrate and Salty Beats Have a Message of Hope On New Single

Memphis, TN - “And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news. But not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message?” [Romans 10:15-16]

Faith comes from what is heard. As believers in the death and resurrection of Christ, we have been charged to ensure that the world knows about the gift of salvation. Not just those within arms-reach, but the good news is meant to go to the ends of the earth. We are all messengers on a mission. The battle is raging and the fate of mankind rests in the balance between the Light and the darkness. No sacrifice, no victory.

“We are messengers of hope, not guardians of salvation.” - Illustrate

Veteran emcee Illustrate and producer Salty Beats combine their gifts on the new record Sam Witwicki, releasing to digital streaming platforms on June 7, 2024.

Connecting from Memphis (Illustrate) to Los Angeles (Salty Beats), the duo, along with guest artists DJ Stibs, Codak, and Jeremiah Dirt, embrace the message of the Gospel that transcends space to bring hope and truth. The question for listeners is simple, will you turn a blind eye or be transformed into a new creation?

With a sonic feel that is reminiscent of classic hip hop records such as “Deep Cover,” Sam Witwicki contains all of the elements that true genre heads are certain to connect with.

Whether it is the grimy feel of underground boom bap thanks to Salty Beats; the utilization of samples and record cuts provided by DJ Stibs; or the b-boy flows that glide effortlessly from the lips of true lyricists in the forms of Illustrate, Codak, and Jeremiah Dirt, the entire record is a demonstration of masters in total control of their craft.

Sam Witwicki is more than a standalone single as it is setting the stage for a new Illustrate album that is scheduled to release later this summer.

Be sure to add the single to your personal playlist on your favorite music streaming platform!

About Illustrate

Illustrate stepped on the Hip Hop music scene in 1995. In the Denver music scene, where Illustrate began, he was working with a local secular music label known as Kut-N-Kru Records. While working with this label, Illustrate was mentored in his musical production by DJ Scratch G. Scratch G also taught him the basics of sound recording. 0ver 25 years later and Illustrate still creates new music. With the release of several independent solo efforts and a compilation release with former label mate Minority, he still chases his passion of sharing his faith through the music. While collaborating with various artists throughout the years, Illustrate has refined his skills as an artist and producer and dramatically grown in his faith in Christ.
