(Nashville, TN) – Getty Music today announced the release of four new singles from the 2024 Sing! Conference attended by 6,500 people from 32 countries in person in Nashville and viewed by more than 30,000 people online. Premiered at the Sing! conference and led by Matt Boswell, Cochren & Co., Bryan Fowler, Keith & Kristyn Getty, Jordan Kauflin, Matt Papa, Skye Peterson, Ben Shive, and Laura Story, the new songs serve key moments in the worship service.
Releasing today is “Christus Victor (Amen)”, a majestic anthem drawn from the first and last songs of victory found in Scripture - the Song of Moses in Exodus and the Song of the Lamb in Revelation - proclaiming Christ’s eternal victory from the beginning. The song rises in a unique responsive singing of Amens that culminates in a final victorious chorus.
Keith Getty shared: “We have been trying to write this song for several years, and preparing for this year’s conference sharpened the focus as we reflected on the songs of the Bible. It’s vitally important to sing that Christ is the victory; it’s vitally important to sing the truths of scripture, of both Exodus and Revelation; it’s vitally important to put them in the mouths and hearts of our children.”
"Christus Victor (Amen)" is the second release in a series of four new hymns from the Sing! Conference, each designed to lead worshippers through key moments of the Christian worship service.
“How Great Is the Greatness of God,” (already out) provides an upbeat call to worship. Written by Matt Boswell, Bryan Fowler, and Matt Papa and inspired by Psalm 145:3, the song declares the greatness of God as Father, Son, and Spirit, inviting the Church to join in joyful praise.
“Keep the Feast” (releasing November 1) is a communion song by Skye Peterson and Ben Shive, reminding us that the work of Christ is a cause for much celebration. Skye says, “I feel like I’m really good at rehearsing the first part of the gospel – His death and suffering – and thinking about my own brokenness. I forget to remember that communion is also a joyful feast! So, I wanted to write a ‘happy’ communion song, and Ben Shive helped me do it!”
“Approach, My Soul” (releasing November 8) features Jordan Kauflin and Laura Story in the reintroduction of a text by John Newton, wrapped in new music and an all-new chorus. Says Jordan, “If doctrine serves gladness, then the invitation to approach the throne of mercy with confidence must awaken the relieved and thankful and glad response, ‘O wondrous love! O boundless grace!’”
