NEW YORK, NY – February 11, 2025– Christian singer-songwriter HeIsTheArtist is set to release his highly anticipated alternative rock EP, Confessions of a Fallen Angel, on February 14, 2025. The EP is a deeply introspective and metaphorical journey through the five stages of addiction recovery, drawing inspiration from The Book of Isaiah and the biblical story of Lucifer’s fall from grace.
The five-track collection serves as a musical storytelling device, illustrating a fallen angel’s path to redemption—a powerful allegory for those seeking spiritual and personal recovery. Each track aligns thematically with a stage of addiction recovery, offering listeners both emotional depth and spiritual guidance.
With an evocative blend of rock, soul, and alternative influences, Confessions of a Fallen Angel stays true to HeIsTheArtist’s Christian mission—to inspire and support those in need through faith-driven music.
Born LeeMann Bassey, HeIsTheArtist was once a secular neo-soul singer signed to Bentley Records. However, his path changed after an inspirational sermon by Bishop T.D. Jakes, which led him to dedicate his music to spreading the Word of God. Since then, he has made a global impact with his faith-based music.
His single “Boom (Remastered)” topped the Christian/Gospel charts in South Africa, while his iTunes Jazz chart-topping mash-up of Britney Spears and Snoh Aalegra showcased his unique ability to blend genres. His 2022 hit, “Boom (DooWop Version)” featuring Take 6’s Joel Kibble, held the #1 spot on the National Radio Hits Christian chart for two weeks.
He is a Voices of Gospel Music Awards and a Gospel Choice Music Awards nominee in multiple categories.
Now, with Confessions of a Fallen Angel, HeIsTheArtist continues his mission of faith and healing, offering listeners a powerful message of hope, redemption, and spiritual renewal.
