The Charon Collective is extremely excited to release the definitive collection from New Mexico's Scapegoat on limited edition compact disc. Scapegoat takes the ultimate components of death, thrash, and black metal and intertwines them with the finest facets of deathcore and blackened orchestration to devise a wholly distinctive identity of its own.
The self-titled CD compiles every song recorded up until 2025, including all the singles and the album "Skirmishes of Existence and Expiration." Several tracks feature an impressive list of special guests including Candlebearer, MajesticGhost, CJ McMahon (ex-Thy Art Is Murder), Brandon Cooper, Robert Manzone (With Blood Comes Cleansing), Zack Glaeser (Glae), Nathan Baird (Atrocity), and celebrated brass soloist and symphony performer Tom Hoyt.
Lyrically, Scapegoat tackles the same subjects of destruction and darkness most metal bands do, but with an outlook that beyond all the chaos and strife there is a Light at the end of the tunnel. Personal trials and tribulations also figure into the subject matter grappled with.
