NASHVILLE, TENN. (JUNE 17, 2025) Singer-songwriter Benjamin William Hastings, known for his raw and honest lyrics exploring heartfelt topics, has released a deeply personal song, "At the heart of it." Following his largest song yet, "Abandoned," this new song points to the heart and purity of worship, stripping away all the world's distractions.
Co-written along with Ben Tan and Aodhan King, Hastings shares this song, which was born from the depths of his soul. "One of the lines of the song says God, if I'm honest, I'm done with almost all of this but you, And I was, I was so ready to throw in the towel," confesses Benjamin William Hastings. "This song was my way of turning to the purity of worshipping, and I'm hopeful as we all endeavor to get back to the heart of why we did this in the first place, His heart."

Known as a prolific songwriter, Hastings has written songs that have been streamed globally more than 1.3 billion times. He has written songs for artists such as Brandon Lake, Elevation Worship, Hillsong Worship, Hillsong UNITED, Cory Asbury, and Rend Collective, among others. Among those songs are the RIAA Certified Platinum Single and 2023 GMA Dove Award "Worship Recorded Song of the Year," "Gratitude," as well as the RIAA Certified Platinum single and 2018 GMA Dove Award "Worship Recorded Song of the Year,", "So Will I (100 Billion X)." One of his most recent hits is the RIAA-certified platinum single, “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” by Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll.

Hastings just announced "At The Heart Of It” Tour, an 8-show run featuring special guest Jamie MacDonald, in November, presented by TPR. Pre-sale tickets go on sale today, June 17th. You can also experience Benjamin William Hastings live this October on the Air1 Worship Now Tour with Phil Wickham, Charity Gayle, and Josh Baldwin. Visit here for tickets to both tours.
