(Nashville, TN – November 21, 2025) — We The Kingdom will release their new album ‘Dear Jesus’ on January 30, 2026, on Capitol Christian Music Group. The title track, “Dear Jesus,” is available today.
‘Dear Jesus’ finds We The Kingdom returning to the heart of what first brought them together: writing songs that are deeply personal, rooted in faith, and unafraid to wrestle with both light and darkness. Recorded in their own studio in Nashville, the album builds on the honest storytelling and musicianship that have defined We The Kingdom since their debut in 2018, balancing their signature folk-rock sound with fresh creative energy.
“After spending two years recording, it’s beautiful when you can tell the story of reality,” shares the band. “This record is a culmination of the beauty that came from freedom: no themes or motives, but truly authentic.”
The announcement follows the October release of “Don’t Let The Darkness,” a song with a message of hope in the midst of heaviness set the tone for what became the rest of the record — a collection centered on light overcoming the shadows. From its twelve-string guitar textures to its open-hearted lyricism, “Don’t Let The Darkness” reflects the band’s desire to create music that feels both classic and current.
Across seven tracks, ‘Dear Jesus’ explores surrender, belonging, and renewal through vivid imagery and a raw sense of faith. “Let It Be Jesus” brings a rediscovered simplicity, while “Rescue Me” reimagines the story of David and Goliath as a metaphor for courage and divine strength. “I Belong to You,” born from a dream, celebrates the idea of ultimate belonging and connection with God. “Holiness,” co-written and recorded with Chris Tomlin, returns to the band’s worship roots in a song that expresses reverence and awe. The closing track, “Easy,” captures a moment of rest and peace, reminding listeners that “His yoke is easy and His burden is light.”
At the center of it all is the title track “Dear Jesus,” a song inspired by a conversation with a man whose life was transformed by grace. The band imagined that man’s story as a letter written to God from a place of brokenness and hope. The song embodies the album’s heart: honest, unfiltered, and anchored in redemption.
