On “GOT A REASON,” KB channels gratitude, faith, and surrender into a triumphant statement that reflects both personal conviction and spiritual resolve. Anchored by his signature intensity and sharp lyricism, the single captures the tension between human effort and divine purpose—celebrating the freedom found in letting go of control and trusting a greater plan.
“‘GOT A REASON’ is a declaration of resilient faith that refuses to surrender hope, capturing the posture of a life confidently held in the hands of God regardless of circumstance, KB explains. Built around a familiar sample from the song “Praise,” the record reflects a settled conviction that loss, pressure, and uncertainty have no power to redefine who God is. It is praise rooted in remembrance and joy, not because life is easy, but because God is good and unwaveringly faithful.”
KB’s career has been defined by both impact and consistency. He broke through early with records that expanded the reach of hip-hop, earning Rap/Hip-Hop Song of the Year at the Dove Awards for “100”earlyin his career and scoring four consecutive #1 debuts on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart. His catalog has generated millions of streams worldwide, powered by fan favorites “Church Clap” (feat. Lecrae), “No Chains,” and “Hold Me Back.”
In recent years, KB pushed his artistry further with His Glory Alone and His Glory Alone II, projects praised for their vulnerability and genre-blending production. The former earned the Dove Award for Rap/Hip-Hop Album of the Year in 2020, further solidifying his place as one of the genre’s most impactful voices.
With “GOT A REASON,” KB builds on that momentum while looking ahead. The single sets the tone for what’s next: music shaped by lived experience, sharpened by self-reflection, and delivered with conviction as he continues to push creative boundaries.
