MICHIGAN -- November 6, 2026 -- Nobody's Uncle will release "The Threshing Floor" on November 13, the second single from upcoming LP, Kiss The Son.

Musically, "The Threshing Floor" takes a gentler, more stripped-back approach, leaning into acoustic indie folk rather than the guitar-driven alternative rock found elsewhere in the project's catalog. Warm acoustic textures and melodic songwriting give the song a quiet, yearning quality. It's an understated but emotionally resonant track that leaves plenty of room for the lyrics to breathe.

Lyrically, "The Threshing Floor" reflects on the ongoing process of surrendering to Christ and allowing faith to change the way we see and love others. The song opens with questions about the condition of the singer's own heart and the kind of person he might become if he truly took Christ as Lord. "The song is a collection of reflections on my own faith and the kind of person I want God to make me. I think it's easy to get caught up in how well we think we're doing at being a Christian, but I don't want to lose sight of the fact that following Jesus should actually change the way I love people and see the world around me."

"The Threshing Floor" follows "The Shameless Swoon," the first single from Kiss The Son, and Mercy Diorama, Nobody's Uncle's 11-song debut album released in November 2025. The upcoming 13-song record continues the project's exploration of faith, surrender, and the tension between the things we cling to in this life and the hope found in Christ.

About Nobody's Uncle

Nobody's Uncle fuses the anthemic rawness of '90s alternative, the emotional resonance of second-wave emo, and the reflective spirit of folk storytelling into songs that wrestle with doubt, loss, and Gospel hope while still inviting the listener to sing along. Following the 2025 debut Mercy Diorama, the artist is currently preparing Kiss The Son, a 13-song album inspired by Psalm 2.
