JACKSON WATERS ANNOUNCE MEMBER CHANGE; NEW MUSIC FOR '08
NEWS SOURCE: Jackson Waters, a Jesusfreakhideout.com report
January 16, 2008
With the new year, Word Record rock act Jackson Waters has already had their music prominently featured on One Tree Hill
and are working on new music to follow-up their 2007 debut, Come Undone. With the good news, comes some sad news as well, however,
as the band also announces the recent departure of bassist Brian Meek...
"First of all, thanks to everyone who added us as
a friend and heard us for the first time last week on
One Tree Hill. We've had over 12,000 plays this week
after the premiere episode aired on January 8th. We love
making new fans and One Tree Hill is known for
selecting great music so we are proud to be included
again on the show again.
As excited as we are about the TV show, we are
sad to announce that bass player Brian Meek is moving
on to pursue a career outside of the music business.
Brian has put in 5 years of hard work with Jackson
Waters and has been there from the very beginning. He
handles alot of day to day stuff that the rest of us
have to learn how to do now! We all love Brian like a
brother and will continue to keep in touch with him
and wish him nothing but the best. What makes it
tough to lose Brian is the fact that there isn't a
nicer guy in the world. It's also going to be tough
to find someone with as much skill on the bass as
Brian, but we are moving forward in the new year by
playing as many shows as we can. We are off to a nice
start the first few weeks of the year and have Nate
Hufford on the road with us on bass. Be sure and meet
him at a show.
Also, we have tons of new songs that are taking
shape and some of you who have seen us lately have
heard a few of them. We hope to be releasing new
music very soon. Check the tour dates and come see us
in 2008...
- Jackson Waters"
