The Australian festival about Easter will bring a world exclusive to the stage in 2009.
Audio Adrenaline will headline Easterfest 09 in Toowoomba, Australia for a reunion concert.
The group, one of the most successful in CCM, retired from active music ministry almost a year ago.
It has sold more than three million records and scored two Grammy® Awards, multiple Dove awards, and 18 number one singles.
Audio Adrenaline started a revolution in Christian rock music in the early 90s, influencing MercyMe, Sanctus Real, Hawk Nelson,
and many of the sector's leading acts.
Easterfest CEO Isaac Moody says to secure the band for the worldwide exclusive reunion concert is a "real coup" for
Australia's premier Easter event.
"During the past ten years the festival has grown to attract more than thirty thousand people annually, because it presents the
message of Easter through world class music and other media including drama, debates and even poetry."
"Audio Adrenaline will build on the thriving music reputation the festival has established," Moody says.
Nashville's Alabaster Box is another US based band singing the praises of Easterfest, describing it as unmatched. "It's so
professionally done, we tell all the American bands to come over here."
Touring down under for the first time, Project 86 said they'd been looking forward to their gig at the Toowoomba event for two
years.
Aussie favorites Newsboys and CCM's leading female Rebecca St James have headlined in recent years. Chart toppers Jars Of Clay
have also drawn 10 000-plus crowds to the unique outdoor venue in Toowoomba's down-town central park.
"We're really looking forward to next year," Moody adds.
