Casting Crowns Profiled in Billboard Magazine Feature Story This Week: GRAMMY-winning, multi-platinum artist
Casting Crowns is the anchor of a recent Billboard magazine feature story
(Aug. 30 issue), highlighting Christian music artists who maintain dual careers juggling the responsibilities of recording
and touring as they serve in full-time staff positions in their local church. Casting Crowns’ lead singer/songwriter
Mark Hall is currently serving his 17th year in youth ministry as the Youth pastor at Eagles Landing church in Atlanta. Hall
oversees more than 400 students each week, and only tours with Casting Crowns around his church responsibilities. All seven
band members actively serve in student ministry in their respective churches in the Atlanta area. Next month, Casting Crowns
will release its first Christmas album titled Peace on Earth on Oct. 7. The top-selling artist’s premiere Christmas project
follows up the last 12 months of landmark touring, radio and album sales success surrounding it’s RIAA certified Gold
The Altar and The Door studio project, including last week’s debut of
The Altar and The Door Live which exceeded both debut sales
weeks for the band’s previous RIAA Platinum live projects Live From Atlanta (2004) and Lifesong Live (2006). For more information on the band, please visit www.castingcrowns.com.
