(NASHVILLE, Tennessee) – Singer-songwriter Lara Landon is celebrating the release of her debut album Beloved on the road, as she's in the middle of a two week U.S. media tour promoting the project. Landon will be featured on numerous television programs this week including Live from Studio B, FamilyNet's Mornings, Good Morning Arkansas (ABC affiliate, Little Rock), Live at 9 (CBS affiliate, Memphis), Atlanta Live and the nationally syndicated mainstream morning show DAYTIME.

Landon's road to a record deal came through a chance meeting with music executive and Essential Records founder Robert Beeson, who eventually signed her to the Nashville-based record label Bema Media – home to such artists as The Rubyz, Mission Six, Paige Armstrong and Manic Drive. The two were introduced by industry veteran Jeremy Lee and his wife Plumb, who had caught a Landon performance at a local writer's night.

Before long, Landon was in the studio with multiple GRAMMY® Award winning producer Michael Omartian (Christopher Cross, Amy Grant, Whitney Houston, Rod Stewart, The Jackson's), creating the collection of songs that would become Beloved. The recent Belmont University graduate wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on the album, with additional writer credits that include top songwriters like Omartian, Tiffany Lee (Plumb), Sean Shenkel and Jason Ingram.

While the stirring string and piano arrangements draw instant comparisons to groundbreaking mainstream artists like Imogen Heap and Tori Amos, the content of Landon's songs is definitively focused on Landon's musings about the grandeur and the intimacy of a relationship with a loving God.

“I've always rooted for the underdog and feel like my music can really encourage people who might have felt passed over at some point,” says Landon. “It's a platform I want to take because God can take you right where you are, call you Beloved and lift you up.”
