#80. Dogwood
More Than Conquerors

Release Date: May 18, 1999

My first experience with Dogwood was their Rescue Records album Through Thick and Thin in 1997. I was in a frenzied search for punk rock at the time and was introduced to them by a youth group friend. That album is still a favorite to this day and got me completely hyped when I discovered they were moving to Tooth & Nail. More Than Conquerors doesn't carry the same weight as its predecessor, but is really good nonetheless. "Suffer" is an amazing start with "Rest Assured" and "Feel the Burn" as great follow-ups -- with the latter being an album favorite. "Control," "The Pain is Gone," and the title track help to really round out a solid track listing. This is easily my favorite T&N release from Dogwood and I'm extremely happy to see it getting some recognition on this list.
