For our 6th annual Highlighting feature, we're doing things a little differently. Normally, we select our top 25 most anticipated releases for the whole year, but we realize that it's tough to really gauge EVERYTHING that may release throughout a given year when we're making the list in January. So, for 2012, we're splitting the year into TWO pieces -- January to June and July to December (Click here for Part 2). Also, we're making each list 15 artists/releases for a total of 30 in 2012. So, without further ado, we give you Highlighting First-Half 2012!

#3. Thousand Foot Krutch
The End Is Where We Begin

Release Date: April 17, 2012
Yet another newly-independent band, Thousand Foot Krutch has opened many doors of possibilities for The End is Where We Begin. It's been quite awhile since the release of their career-best Welcome to the Masquerade and their fans are ready for something new and refreshing this March. Is the Linkin Park-esque "War of Change" a sign of what's to come?
        - Roger Gelwicks

TFK is simply a solid rock band and that's exactly what I expect this time around. They haven't ever lived up to the bar that they set so highly back in 2003, but each release is always good and worth playing over and over. Will this be the album that surpasses Phenomenon?
        - Kevin Hoskins

TFK has become one of the biggest Christian rock groups growing. Singer Trevor McNevan had been pushing the band for years and now they join the ranks of artists taking the independent route to release their newest album. The first single is solid; let's see how the rest of the album turns out.
        - Michael Weaver

Thousand Foot Krutch has been one of the most consistent rock bands for the past ten years. Now that they are independent, they are faced with the daunting task of releasing an album on the heels of possibly their best album yet (Welcome To The Masquerade). The End Is Where We Begin should prove to be one of the most intriguing albums on 2012.
        - Nathaniel Schexnayder
