While many would claim that
The Reckoning is the better NEEDTOBREATHE record, I think a case could be made for
Rivers in the Wasteland as their most diverse and strongest top-to-bottom album. Either way you slice it,
RitW is a fine set of songs. Swinging from the Beach Boys harmonies of "State I'm In," to the frenetic rock energy of "Feet Don't Fail Me Now," to the worshipful "Multiply" or lastly the hit song and fan favorite "Brother," there wasn't much the album didn't feature. Certainly, this is Top 3 in their discography and a must for fans of the band.
