VERSE 1
“Just trust enough”
In princes and in mortal men
Trickle-down from the pulpit
Safety from above
In one whose life is in his breath
And whose frame is made of dust

PRE-CHORUS
It’s another play for power
Such subtle heresy
This name is my strong tower
And it is all I need

CHORUS
Take Cover, I take cover in You
Take Cover, I take cover in You
Take Cover, I take cover in You...
Only You
Only You

VERSE 2
Sovereign, Holy King
The mediator of our souls
Son of God and Highest Priest
Jesus Christ alone
Has bridged the chasm in between
There He stands in pow’r for me

PRE-CHORUS
It’s another play for power
Such subtle heresy
This name is my strong tower
And it is all I need

CHORUS
Take Cover, I take cover in You
Take Cover, I take cover in You
Take Cover, I take cover in You
Only You
Only You

BRIDGE
I will look to the hills
Where does my help come from?
I will look to the hills
My help comes from You, Lord
You are my sun and shield
And You have promised glory
You are my sun and shield
And You will give me grace
Covered up in Your wings
Whom then shall I fear?
Cover me with Your wings
In You I put my trust
Only You

CHORUS
Take Cover, I take cover in You
Take Cover, I take cover in You
Take Cover, I take cover in You...
Only You
Only You

Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. Matthew 23:1-12 (NKJV) "Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’ But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Hebrews 13:17 (NKJV) "Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you."
