Behind the Song:
Snake was me going after the status quo of symbolism and projected holiness. People forget that in the bible a snake was once a prophecy and representation of Jesus and another time a lion was used to represent the devil. Just because something looks good doesn’t make it so and vise versa . (NIV 2 Timothy 3:5 - …having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.) I’ve been to churches were their anti religion philosophy some how became their religion and they still had no connection or impact on the reality of the world around them. Ultimately it’s like the story of Moses and the bronze snake. We all have a poison in us and we will die if we don’t set our gaze on the one who became sin to rescue us. lets not repeat the mistakes of others.
