Shallow Water cover
03. Here Comes David
Album: Shallow Water
Artist: Servant

OH way back
Long about 14 hundred and BC
Just after, Moses had parted the Red sea
The children of Israel
We’re traveling light
They were carrying the Ark
Way on into the night
The Lord had places for them to go
And he didn’t have time to stop the show
To stop the show

The children of Israel all gathered round
To see King David
Bring the ark into town
He caused such
A ruckus, He cause such a fright
He was praising the Lord with all of his might
He said call up the troops
Call up the nation
Cause were gonna have us a big celebration
A big celebration

David had a wife
Who stayed in town
From the top floor window
She was looking down
She said Hey David
What do you mean
By causing a ruckus
By making a scene
He said were gonna praise the Lord some more
So go back inside and shut the door
shut the door

Here comes David
Here comes David
Here comes David
Here comes David
Bringing the Ark on in
Here comes David
Bringing the Ark on in
Well Here comes David
Bringing the Ark on in
