“This is about a lot of old relationships – previous management, previous record company, old boyfriends, old friendship – and what they thought I was all about. It was in a number of relationships that dragged me in the wrong direction, and I had to say goodbye. It was so liberating because every one of these relationships was replaced by something that’s ten times better for me. I actually wrote this in the bathtub! I was humming the melody of the chorus over and over.
