I didn’t know that I would feel this way

I drove and listened to nothing
I never found a song that could quite fit the mood
I slept alone in the bed I share with you

And it’s amazing just how still this place can be
It’s amazing just how far away you seem
When you’re only in Portland

You left for Portland this morning
And I’ve been counting the hours since you’ve gone
I didn’t know a day could feel this long
