Behind the Song:
'This is the 5th song I´ve had the privilege of working on with Martin Smith of Delirious. We´ve been great mates for years, and have tried to spur each other on as both worshippers and worship leaders. The interesting thing is that every single time we´ve written a song together, it´s been about celebrating or sharing the gospel. I love that.

We spent a day together looking at various song ideas, many of which were encouraging, But then this song idea matieralised towards the end of the day, and just rose to the top of the pile. It started out as chorus idea Martin had been looking at for a whille. The verse and bridge sections quickly took shape and it was one of those nice inspired moments when everything seems to fall into place.

I think songs with this kind of outward looking theme can be so important in our congregational gatherings. Church meetings aren´t meant to be a cocoon where we hide away for a few moments and retreat from the world. They´re meant to be events in which we encourage and inspire each other to go and live out the gospel of Jesus. There are so many phases we can journey through as we worship God together, such as celebration, exaltation etc etc. But it´s important to also get to the place of commission, reminding ourselves of the great call God has placed on our lives, and committing ourselves once again to living it out.' - Matt Redman
