Coahuila, Mexico's Anathoth is back with the single "Elohim" off their upcoming full length release. Influenced by the early sounds of 2000's metalcore in the vein of Killswitch Engage and As I Lay Dying, the band looks to bring that classic sound into the present with brand new songs and remixes of ones taken off their debut EP.
"Elohim is inspired by the last chapters of the book of Job, when God speaks from a whirlwind and manifests all his power and wisdom, questioning whether man is capable of doing the feats that the Almighty has done since the beginning of time," shares member Nestor Daniel Cuellar Pérez.
Just like their first release, "Elohim" was recorded in Pérez's native language exclusively.
"As Spanish is my native language and there is little extreme metal in my country in this language, I have decided to compose in my language and make the effort to spread metal in Spanish," stated Pérez.
