RIAA Platinum®-selling, Dove Award-winning pop recording artist and songwriter Jordan Feliz releases "Fast" Nov. 13 from Centricity Music. His first release in more than a year, the single is available to pre-buy/save now at digital and streaming outlets worldwide through https://jordanfeliz.lnk.to/fast. The heartfelt ballad grew from Feliz's experience of watching his children grow older and reminds parents to hold them "a little longer and tighter today. Life goes fast."
"I'm a dad to two incredible children, Jolie (11) and Judah (8), and I got struck with this feeling a while back that the babies I used to hold and carry were becoming kids with opinions, dreams, plans and a life of their own," shares Feliz. "I started mourning the fact that I'll never get those days back. God even tells us in the Psalms that our days are like a breath. They're like a passing shadow."
"So I wrote this song for my kids and every parent who feels this way too," adds Feliz, who released his heartwarming children's book, Beloved, in 2022. "If you're a parent watching your kiddos grow up faster than you ever imagined, this one is for you."
Produced by longtime collaborators Colby Wedgeworth (Danny Gokey, Jeremy Camp) and Luke Johns (Social Club Misfits, The Young Escape), "Fast" was co-written by Feliz, Wedgeworth and Paul Duncan. The chorus captures the song's plea to remain present as time moves quickly:
I wish we could stay here a little longer
But everything changes as we get older
Let's live every day like it could be the last
'Cause we'll never get one of them back
I wish we could hold every little moment
'Cause we never know when we're going home, and
Heaven won't slow it down, no matter how much we ask
Yeah, you blink and it's gone in a flash
All I know is life goes fast
Along with "Fast," Feliz seamlessly mixes Top 40-sized production across the 11 tracks in his most recent, highly acclaimed fourth album released in 2024, Everything Good. The album features the hit singles "Praise God For That" and "The King Is Alive" and encourages believers to navigate their way through worry and fear while trusting that God is ultimately sovereign.
Taking his new music and fan favorites on the road, Feliz has a jam-packed November with 13 events across nine states this month. Nine "Good News Unplugged Tour" headline concerts with special guest Thunderstorm Artis and sponsored by ChildFund International are followed by four "Rise with Rob and Friends" events featuring speaker Rob Roozeboom and recording artists Micah Tyler and Patrick Mayberry.
