For our 6th annual Highlighting feature, we've done things a little differently. Normally, we select our top 25 most anticipated releases for the whole year, but we realize that it's tough to really gauge EVERYTHING that may release throughout a given year when we're making the list in January. So, for 2012, we've split the year into TWO pieces -- January to June and June to December. Also, we're making each list 15 artists/releases for a total of 30 in 2012.

Andrew Peterson Light For The Lost Boy Release Date: August 28, 2012 Andrew Peterson has been one of my favorite songwriters for some time now, mostly for the intelligent, poetic lyricism that the writer in me loves. But what has me most intrigued about Light for the Lost Boy (besides the stunning cover art) is the suggestion of a bigger, fuller approach to his signature pop-folk style. If you haven't discovered his music yet, now is the perfect time to remedy that.         - Jen Rose With awfully limited previous experience with Peterson's musical approach, I was legitimately stunned at how much I appreciated Counting Stars.
